Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 June 2026

Silentum is a simple utility that silences your phone for a fixed period (15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour or 4 hours) and automatically restores the sound when the time is up. This policy explains how it handles data.

Silentum does not collect, store off-device, or share any personal data.

It has no account system and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. Its only network use is checking for app updates (and, for testers, an optional in-app bug report) โ€” never your personal data.

What stays on your device

The app saves exactly one value locally on your phone: the time at which sound should be restored (a timestamp). This never leaves your device and is removed when the session ends or you restore sound. Your timer data and settings are never transmitted anywhere โ€” Silentum goes online only to check for, and download, a new version of the app.

Permissions and why they are used

These permissions operate entirely locally. Silentum does not read your notifications, messages, contacts or call history.

Children

Silentum is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone.
